  1. Mr. Anngeister, you wrote, "This remarkable failure of an adjuster-fused personality to pass muster with the Finaliters is significant of something, I think." No adjuster-fused personality fails to be mustered into the Finaliters. Page 448 - there is no "un-fusion"... There are other choices - such as Mighty Messengers - for Father-fused personalities, and a personality might get thrown back a few times from the doors of Paradise until UN-selfishness is perfected, but there is no "remarkable failure"... Not sure what you and "Bonita" are talking about, but it is obviously a private conversation about someone's kids "making it" or not... However, there are two other categories of "fused" - Son-Fused and Spirit-Fused, maybe that's what you, Mr Anngeister, were remembering (without access to UB...) in regards to children who met an accident of time before getting a personal Adjuster? I think as UB readers we need to BACK WAY AWAY from speculating about whether the morning-after pill has filled up the wards. One woman, an artist, shared with me very vivid details about the conversations and the feelings and the certainty she had about WHO the baby she was carrying WAS. Once the child was born, she immediately "sensed" that the child was NOT the one she had carried, that another "person" took over the body. She was so certain of the "personality" (non-UB definition) switch, that she gave away the child to her sister to raise because the child was a "stranger". Obviously, things can get way out there in "beliefs" - could be pregnancy hormones, who knows...? Took a couple of semesters at university regarding early childhood development (Birth to Age 3) and found it to be very "truth" filled. RAISING a child means just that - step by step process. The young 20 somethings are going back to basics - there's a wonderful video new parents are sharing with each other that explains what the cries are that all children make - hunger, fear, disconfort, pain, etc. Maybe some people need to layer in some mystical woowoo in order to tolerate the very earthy labor of tending to infants. Certainly the work seems more important if angels tell you the child is "special"....but I'm still dismayed at how far off imagination and superstition and ego can take a woman - so far off that the woman refuses to raise the "stranger" child. Too much Hollowood films also exploit such false ideas about children being inhabited by "strangers" based on a pregnant woman's "intuition"...hope I'm making a point about backing away from "speculating" - UB presentation is LUCID and no "inference" is called for - "just the facts, Ma'am" Page 452 - "The mysterious variable in associative technique whereby a mortal being does not or cannot become eternally fused with the indwelling Thought Adjuster may seem to disclose a flaw in the ascension scheme; Son and Spirit fusion do, superficially, resemble compensations of unexplained failures in some detail of the Paradise-attainment plan; but all such conclusions stand in error; we are taught that all these happenings unfold in obedience to the established laws of the Supreme Universe Rulers." God knows what He is doing with His gifting of Personality (always an original gift) and his Thought Adjusters (okay, the TAs could be a re-gifter)
  2. I think it is safe to say that Jesus was a "special situation". Page 1331 - "Urantia mortals have varying concepts of the miraculous, but to us who live as citizens of the local universe there are few miracles, and of these, by far the most intriguing are the incarnational bestowals of the Paradise Sons. The appearance in and on your world, by apparently natural processes, of a Divine Son, we regard as a miracle - the operation of universal laws beyond our understanding. Jesus of Nazareth was a miraculous person. In and through all this extraordinary experience, God the Father chose to manifest himself as he always does - in the ususal way- in the normal, natural, and dependable way of divine acting." As for the one-liner that may settle "timing" for some people, it may not for others. In context, the comparison was offered in a discussion about religion - Page 1130 - "Religion is functional in the human mind and has been realized in experience prior to its appearance in human consciousness." But for first timers, and I keep trying to be sensitive to "learning" something new, especially considering that this is an international site which means people could be reading along who have not been "harassed" by internal USA politics regarding "life" and "person" in bizarre and unnatural humanely concocted dramas up to and including a legally enforceable definition of "personhood" applied to "corporation" - yikes! So, leaving all that intense power-over-others yaddayadda, this is the "revelation" for consideration in the Paper we are studying: But the experiential personality of mortal man is not observable as an active and functional reality until after the material life vehicle of the mortal creature has been touched by the liberating divinity of the Universal Father, being thus launched upon the seas of experience as a self-conscious and a (relatively) self-determinative and self-creative personality. 71-1 Not sure why some "truths" wax and wane so much over time, but currently there is much confusion between "life" and "person with free will". Gaining philosophical clarity with regards to "life" is helpful. Mr. Warren opined, "We do agree personality must precede the TA, I suspect at conception--only because it's needed to unify the components of being..." The life force - the activation of chemicals created by the suns - is NOT dependent upon "personality" to inhabit the chemicals in order for those chemicals to be "unified". Life is life - it's own "force" - also a mystery how it really works even for those who have the power to activate it on a planet! Once activated on a planet, it reproduces. It reproduces without the "mind" needing to "unify" the cells. A tree stays alive under certain conditions - soil, water, roots taking hold, etc. - to bear fruit. That "process" is not adjutant mind controlled or dependent on an indwelling "personality". That's all I'm saying. Life reproduces itself without "thinking".
  3. Melchizedek was provided with a full grown skin suit on his emergency mission to Urantia. Something to think about regarding the "timing" of a personality inhabiting a human body... Jesus, as part of his mission, was to completely and fully arrive and live as a NATURAL human being - hence being "born" through the normal way - male and female contributing their piece to the process (Mary and Joseph). Who knows what else Mary was advised to do by "angels"...they did probably also tell her what foods to eat to provide the fetus with the best shot at good health and, no doubt, told her to cut out the wine Due to technical reasons surrounding the nuclear energy of suns, the happy wanderer calcium atom has that spin that allows it to not remain captured within any particular dynamically changing system. So unless "personality" or "thoughts" are attached to the calcium atom, neither can be manipulated or transmitted from "one" to another "one". UB is quite clear that the laws of "physics" aren't arbitrary or so unguarded that people can attach "what belongs to God" on to calcium atoms and force them onto human will against a will. Some things are just undoable, thank God.
  4. If we can stick to UB terminology, it might help. There is no resident SPIRITUAL "evil" in the type of mind endowment or the original life patterns. Meaning the Life Carriers et al and Nebadonia did not hot wire "evil" into the material world tools we were provided with as people with free will choice. There is nothing "evil" in the 7 adjutant mind spirits or in the design of a biologically "normal" brain. "Evil" is inherent - as a choice - only because this is an imperfect and incomplete "finite" creation. We make mistakes. It's up to us, at some point of loudly announced advanced "god-consciousness" whether we choose to implement a "process" that forces every new personality to begin BELOW the normal beginning. Meaning, the "power" is available to anyone who wants to seize it, to force "advanced" iniquity into the equation for every one else who is just attempting to solve only the normal errors of imperfection status. The more you get to know God as a loving person, the less likely the "errors" of imperfection will lead to "evil" choices. So, yes, we are totally responsible for the thoughts we choose to unleash upon an unsuspecting, imperfect material world. "By their acts you will know them." At some point, simple boredom with the stupidity of iniquity short-circuits the speculative thought power of iniquity to walk through the walls of the skull and take residence in the organic brain.
  5. P.70 - §3 Personality is one of the unsolved mysteries of the universes. We are able to form adequate concepts of the factors entering into the make-up of various orders and levels of personality, but we do not fully comprehend the real nature of the personality itself. We clearly perceive the numerous factors which, when put together, constitute the vehicle for human personality, but we do not fully comprehend the nature and significance of such a finite personality. Mr. Anngeister, Going for the mystery of mysteries? I think you may be confusing the transmitting of the life force upon lifeless chemical compounds (also a mystery, btw) with the transmitting of "personality". Two different factors of the "numerous factors" that constitute the "vehicle" for human personality, no? Once "life" is activated on a planet, it just goes on reproducing itself. "Personality" in NOT needed to "unify" reproduction - meaning cells do not need to contain "personality" to reproduce. They just reproduce without "personality". The tree reproduces without "personality" endowment.... Life Carriers et al long ago activated the life force energy on Urantia. Life is NOT a "person". God, as a person, adds "personality" to the mix. I have complete trust that He knows when to do that, even if I don't know WHEN he does it, exactly. One of the reasons why I do not know exactly when could be that as the lowest life form in the finite universe capable of being God-knowing, so to speak, I certainly cannot be in possession of ALL the factors God has in his possession for consideration with reagrds to "timing".
  6. Sticking to the page du jour... P.68 - §8 Evolutionary religion is the mother of the science, art, and philosophy which elevated man to the level of receptivity to revealed religion, including the bestowal of Adjusters and the coming of the Spirit of Truth. The evolutionary picture of human existence begins and ends with religion, albeit very different qualities of religion, one evolutional and biological, the other revelational and periodical. And so, while religion is normal and natural to man, it is also optional. Man does not have to be religious against his will. Great argument for WHY even the Roman Empire 2000 years ago allowed "freedom of religion". It's OPTIONAL. Next paragraph ends with this, The difficulties and paradoxes of religion are inherent in the fact that the realities of religion are utterly beyond the mortal capacity for intellectual comprehension. Whew! I thought it was just me Guess when Paul McCartney croons, "Inside each one of us is love, and we know how it feels" we should just leave it off with that happy understanding of the "God" in everyone.
  7. Hi Carmelo, The enigmatic clues make more sense if you contemplate them within the context of "fractals" theory.... Just don't ask me to do the math for you Kind regards
  8. Hiya Coop, I'm cranky in the morning. Especially when I wake up and it's 2002 Ground Hog Day, the movie... Time penalty, ah well... Namaste back at you.
  9. Hi Bonita, Like it notes in the UB, man has pretty much worshipped just about everything, including himself. The highest mind adjutant, after #6 - "Worship", is #7 - "Wisdom". Imagine if there was no higher mind adjutant after "worship" Having been both a worshiper and the object of worship, it helped to access "wisdom" to figure it all out.
  10. Probably the most basic understanding we can all share thanks to The Spirit of Intuition - page 402 - "quick perception, the primitive physical and inherent reflex instincts, the directional and other self-preservative endowments of all mind creations; the only one of the adjutants to function so largely in th elower orders of animal life and the only one to make extensive functional contact with the nonteachable levels of the mechanical mind." I'll find the quote for you, but the "stuff" the TA is made of is the purest form of energy not just in the finite realm but also in eternity. I believe God stays in contact through the Personality Circuit, not the "nervous system"
  11. Would you consider it casting pearls before swine or striving if I were to ask if you could explain your opinion using the definitions for "cosmos energy", "matter", "spirit" and "mind" found in the Foreward....? Isn't "personality" - the direct gift from a loving God - what makes any "unification" possible?
  12. Hi Jose, It's not really as complicated as people make it out to be Since God is NOT in love with himself, He created PERSONALITIES. Unique one of a kind personalities, just like He is - unique and one of a kind. One of a kind does not mean we are all "one". God is not Narcissus gazing in the mirror and in love with what He sees...making everyone "one". So what does this have to do with "agriculture"? Well, successful agriculturists created mechanisms, clever inventions to help with labor, as well as incorporated other living "machines" such as animals to help establish a sane, self-sufficient, and self-sustaining method of maintenance of life. Occidental civilization's food production was always disturbed by two opposing "philosophies" - one was slave-based, the other was mechanistic. The mechanists have "won" the recent battle, but are in danger of losing the "war" because of the hubris that develops, sickenly quickly, among the "victorious". The history of "transportation" (distribution) in the oldest settlements of Occidental civilization in USA can be found all along the east coast. Canals filled with water were built so that it would be easier for the horses, oxen, mules, donkeys, burrows, etc. to pull heavy barges of produce to city centers. As noted in the UB, "men" have always loved their horses more than they loved their women So much so, that women were enslaved rather than their horse. I have always appreciated being raised in an area of USA where evidence of transporting an entire civilization from one continent to another was preserved rather than re-written by delusionists. Yes, every new generation should be allowed every potential to contribute an incremental improvement to what already is. Without creating a "religious" cult around his genius or becoming a political extremist to get a law written to forbid any further innovation, Jesus, as a carpenter, improved the design of boats. Whatever society the next generations may be thinking about, best to stay grounded in life maintenance. Truly, some things are not doable. "Spiritual" hubris as a way to control carpenters is always going to rally the Amadons. God has already done the math. We're still trying to figure it out We have time as the fruit ripens to pursue fruitful activites. That's the best thing about agriculture, no time clocks to punch...
  13. Cut and pasted from today's presentation: "Therefore settle in your philosophy now and forever: To each of you and to all of us, God is approachable, the Father is attainable, the way is open; the forces of divine love and the ways and means of divine administration are all interlocked in an effort to facilitate the advancement of every worthy intelligence of every universe to the Paradise presence of the Universal Father." So far, if anyone is just reading along the first time from the beginning, like one would read a "normal" book We have learned that EVERYTHING - eternal, infinite, finite - exists because God was NOT in love with himself. HOW God loves us, and he loves us in many many many different ways and on many layers - eternal, infinite, finite - is a "revelation" because before I read the above in the UB, no HUMAN BEING is, as yet, capable of such an "organizing" of LOVE.
  14. Even if it is possible, which I also doubt it is since "life" has to be imparted to the atomic structure, why bother? If it was planted in the right soil and in the right climate and the bees are still around, all you need to do is water the tree
  15. P.60 - §3 The barbarous idea of appeasing an angry God, of propitiating an offended Lord, of winning the favor of Deity through sacrifices and penance and even by the shedding of blood, represents a religion wholly puerile and primitive, a philosophy unworthy of an enlightened age of science and truth. Such beliefs are utterly repulsive to the celestial beings and the divine rulers who serve and reign in the universes. It is an affront to God to believe, hold, or teach that innocent blood must be shed in order to win his favor or to divert the fictitious divine wrath. There's a book out there called "Crazy for God", and the author is quite passionate about the moral imperative to not allow "religion" to stagnate. Guess what one person perceives as stagnation, another may perceive as slow growth. I have a hard time thinking that the blowback from moving on from "peurile and primitve" ideas about God is MORE dangerous than NOT moving on....
